Our Poetry X Hunger Clubs are linked to the practical activities of Poetry X Hunger including fundraising campaigns ‘Turning Poetry into Food.’ Since its inception, Poetry X Hunger poets have used their talents to raise more than 25,000 US dollars which has been donated to anti-hunger groups in the US and beyond. Similarly, Poetry X Hunger clubs intend to raise support for fighting hunger.

This transformative program seeks to advocate for food and Agriculture, confront hunger, and reach out to the youth, inspiring action while empowering young people with practical skills and opportunities to succeed in food and agribusiness.

THE UN COMPROMISABLE TREASURE

Water is life, so clear, so bright, A gift that flows both day and night It feeds the earth, it grows the trees

It travels rivers, lakes and seas. It fills the clouds that paint the sky, Then falls as rain when land is dry.

It helps the flowers bloom with grace And brings fresh hope to every place We drink it daily to survive, It keeps all living things alive.

From tiny seeds to mountains tall, Water is precious to us all. So let’s protect it, keep it clean, Preserve each drop, both blue and green, For in its flow, our future lies.

THE BEAUTY OF AGRICULTURE.

Across the fields so green and wide Where gentle winds and crops abide The farmer walks at break of the day To tend to the land in every way. Seeds are sown in patient rows With hope for how the harvest grows

The rain will fall, the sun will shine And natures work will soon align Tractors hum and rivers flow Helping tiny seedlings grow From soil and care the plants arise

Stretching bravely towards the skies When harvest time arrives at last The months of waiting quickly pass The bans are filled, the people fed With fruits and grains and golden bread

Agriculture strong and true Feeds the world with work we do From farmer’s hands to every plate It shapes our lives and future fate.
