Through our Youth in Agribusiness Program, We equip young people with practical skills in food & agribusiness, for income generation and job creation.
At AaP Agri-food Initiative, we firmly believe that young people are not just the future of agriculture, but the present drivers of innovation, food security, and community transformation. Every day, we witness the incredible potential that exists within our youth when they are equipped with the right knowledge, practical skills, mentorship, and opportunities.
Through our Youth in Agribusiness program, we are intentionally creating pathways that empower young people to move beyond unemployment and dependency towards entrepreneurship, leadership, and sustainable livelihoods. Our work focuses on building practical skills in food production, agribusiness management, value addition, entrepreneurship, and market engagement, enabling young people to confidently participate in and contribute to local food systems.
One of the most inspiring aspects of our work is seeing students transition from classroom learning into real community-based action. Students are exposed to practical agriculture and agribusiness skills. We then continue to support and follow up with these young people within their communities, helping them establish agribusiness ventures that replicate and expand on the knowledge acquired in school.
Today, we are proud to see youth-led agribusiness groups actively supplying agri-food produce to schools, generating income and strengthening food security. These achievements demonstrate that when young people are supported, they can become powerful agents of economic and social transformation. We are helping them understand agriculture not only as a means of survival, but as a dignified and profitable career pathway capable of transforming communities and nations.
I would also like to recognize the vital role played by our Agriculture Teachers, School Patrons, school administrators, parents, community leaders, and partners who continue to walk this journey with us. Their mentorship, commitment, and collaboration have been instrumental in ensuring that young people remain inspired, guided, and motivated to pursue agribusiness and community leadership.
